El Paso Specialty Hospital is thrilled to welcome a new doctor to its team of expert surgeons. Daniel Morilla, M.D., brings more than 11 years of experience in general urology and surgery. He is excited to be part of a leading medical community in El Paso that puts patients first.
“The partners here offer a lot of experience and expertise to the community,” he says. “A lot of my interest is in treating cancers of the urinary system. I’m glad to be joining a group that is forward-thinking and pursuing additional options for treatment and care in this area.”
In addition to general urology, his specialties include stone disease, erectile dysfunction, prostate disorders, and infertility. He is skilled in endoscopic surgeries, vasectomies, and minimally invasive surgeries, including laparoscopic surgeries.
“The ability to use minimally invasive surgical approaches for diseases that previously required open approaches has helped more patients get the treatment they need to get back to health more quickly,” says Dr. Morilla.
Dr. Morilla received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame then went on to attend New York Medical College. During that time he joined the United States Army, continuing his medical training while serving his country. Following graduation from medical school, he completed his residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, where he honed his skills as a urologist and surgeon before moving to El Paso to work at William Beaumont Army Medical Center.
“Dr. Morilla brings a wealth of skills to the hospital and we are so glad to have him join our staff,” says Jim Wilcox, CEO of El Paso Specialty. “Our patients will benefit greatly from his knowledge and experience in urology and surgery, as well as his background with active-duty servicemembers and veterans.”
